It looks like they`re going to send Tim back here to Charles Town for rehab, but not sure when that is going to happen. They took new MRI scans of his head today, and it will depend on what the doctors think of the new re-growth as to whether or not he will come home right away. He could be in rehab as long as 100 days, or as little as 3 weeks, we`re not sure.
He is really bummed out, though. It didn`t help that there was another patient in the room next to him that died yesterday morning, and the poor guy was moaning and yelling for help all night long.

This is Gloria, Tim`s wife, writing just to let everyone know that he has been admitted to the hospital in Roanoke, VA. This happened on Friday, June 4th. He had his ankle break in 3 places after attempting to stand up from a chair and then fell down (in the cancer clinic) and had to be taken by ambulance to the ER. They performed surgery on him that night and docs put in a plate and some screws to get his ankle back together again. Yesterday he was informed by his surgeon that he has osteoporosis, which is what caused the break. He will not be able to put any weight on the ankle for 3 months, and will probably need to go to some type of nursing facility after he leaves Roanoke. He is expected to be in the current hospital for at least all of the coming week, maybe even the following as well.

not too long ago, i sold a piece of mac computer equipment on ebay for 50 bucks. I was trying to raise money to get my broadcast transmitter down here. the buyer turned out to be a idiot and after having received said unit, decided it didnt work without asking me how to use it and turned it into a paypal dispute claim claiming the item was defective.
when this happens, paypal puts a hold on both your paypal and any checking account linked to it for the full price of the item. the buyer does not have to prove anything for this to happen. paypal just slaps your account with a hold and you cant do a damn thing about it until they conclude an investigation. In my case, the buyers claim was correctly determined to be BS, a simple case of buyers remorse . but having paypal have that much control over my finances doesnt thrill me that much.
i’ve been on ebay since 1998 – 12 full years. its been fun looking for stuff and sometimes getting that treasure, but in the last 2 years or so the game has gotten real old. i just dont need anymore radio stuff. i cant deal with the stuff i have. now that my left hand got turned back into jelly again, it’s just gonna get frustrating.
just finished declaring my own tiny emancipation from ebay and paypal, got all my money out and transferred it all. no, they wont care. but thats not the point – i did it because i was no longer comfortable with the control you give ebay/paypal over your finances. little by little, they’ve been usurping more and more control that you have to agree to give them to use their services.
screw em. for me it’s no longer worth it. ebay account closed, paypal account closed. good riddance. :P
the “user agreements” get ever tighter over time. the cure is simple, just dont agree.
ok, I’m going to leave this going from now on. I decided to give myself and wifey a place where we could express whatever we choose to discuss. Sometimes it will be radio, sometimes it will be my medical concerns, sometimes none of these things. She wanted to know about using amfone for updates for me, and I decided it would be better for everyone to not do that this time around. I didnt want another long post not about AM showing up.
I’ll still be getting on AM fone regular, but personal news and posts not directly relating to AM will be kept here. there will also be AM stuff as I can enter it. My tumor has regrown and it’s likely i’ll need another brain surgery. I have had 3 full body seizures in 4 days and 2 ER visits, so my drugs are not helping much. Thursday ‘ll be traveling to Roanoke Va. to have my options discussed by a new medical team and staying overnight there followed by decisions on treatment.
